The Winterbourne jewels were assembled across four generations of a single Savannah family and had never been offered publicly. One hundred and forty lots were catalogued, of which one hundred and thirty six found buyers.

Bidding was strongest on the Georgian and Victorian material, where several lots exceeded their high estimates by a considerable margin. The Belle Époque diamond stomacher brooch drew sustained competition and became the top lot of our spring season.
