Provenance

Bought new in 1928 and worn daily for over fifty years, according to the family.

Centred by a rectangular step cut sapphire of approximately four carats, flanked by baguette and old cut diamonds in a geometric platinum mount. Circa 1928.

A textbook example that performed exactly as expected, settling comfortably within its estimate. Not every good lot needs a story, and a sound Deco ring will always find its level.

Condition: sapphire with minor abrasion to the table consistent with long wear. Mount tight, no evidence of resizing. Laboratory report confirms no heat treatment.
