The contents of Marchmont House

The Marchmont House sale represented the complete contents of a Beaufort County property built in 1839 and occupied by the same family until last year. Three hundred and twelve lots were offered across a single day, with a sell through rate of ninety six percent.

The top lot was a pair of Chinese export porcelain garden seats, which realised well above estimate against competitive bidding from three continents. Full results are available in our archive.
