Our winter sale steps forward a century, offering furniture, lighting, and studio craft from 1945 to 1985.
The offering includes a documented Nakashima Conoid bench acquired directly from the workshop, a pair of Poul Kjærholm PK22 chairs in original leather, and lighting by Serge Mouille and Gino Sarfatti. Studio ceramics are led by a group of Peter Voulkos vessels from a single academic collection.
This sale reflects a deliberate widening of our remit. The estates we handle increasingly contain the twentieth century alongside the eighteenth, and the market for these objects now rivals that for period furniture.
